As you work with UnicornForms, you will notice some terms that we use to define certain features or behaviors. This glossary is intended to guide you through the world as we see it.
Both (Views) | Both a Form View & Document View or Form Builder View and Document View |
Collection | A group of Templates (Document Editor, PDF or Form) that can be sent as a packet or group |
Document (Editor) | We provide a document editor experience within the “Documents” tab of the application |
Document View | A view of the document |
Executed Document | Completing a Template or uploading a single document creates an Executed Document that is unique to that signer |
Form | A web based form |
Form Builder | A User Interface (UI) to customize the mobile experience of a PDF or Collection, often needed because PDFs are difficult to complete on mobile |
Form View | A view of all the form fields that cannot be edited |
Manager | A registered user within a client’s subscription who can create, manage and send documents |
A PDF is often a non-editable file format | |
Recipient | An external user who receives a document or form to be filled and signed |
Share Link | A URL to a Template or Executed Document with view options |
Single Document Signing | A Manager can upload a single document for signing, such as a custom “one off” contract that needs to be signed |
Template | A re-usable document that is sent to many end users to fill and sign; Filling in a template creates an Executed Document |
